Trailhead Information
From 12th Avenue in East Moline, turn north onto 7th Street in East Moline. The Trail begins at 7th Street and Beacon Harbor Parkway. Or follow Beacon Harbor Parkway to the Mississippi River where there is parking available.
Description
This paved, 1.3 mile trail winds alongside Beacon Harbor Parkway in East Moline from 7th Street to the Mississippi Riverfront, where it connects with the Great River Trail. A visitors center, Beacon Harbor River Center offers a second story balcony with views of the Mississippi and a variety of wildlife, including bald eagles in the winter. The facility is equipped with restrooms, water fountains, benches, picnic tables, parking, and is handicapped-accessible. The Quarter, a multi-family housing development, with a public/private boating docks is also located here. There is also a large wetland, where nature lovers can often view a variety of flora and fauna.
