Description
The Crosstown Avenue Trail offers a safe, paved surface for walking, biking, or running. It passes by Silvis Heights Park, a small park at Hospital Road and Crosstown Avenue, highlighted by a Viking Ship children's play area, a playground, basketball court, soccer goals, volleyball court, picnic table, Veterans Memorial Monument, restrooms, and a shelter available on a first-come, first-served basis, with tables, grill, electricity and water. The trail also goes by Friendship Park, located at 14th Street and Crosstown Avenue, which has a playground, tennis court, softball field, pickleball court, restrooms, shelter, picnic tables, and electricity.
Other Information
This trail is part of plans to connect the growing residential, recreational, and commercial amenities with a multi-use trail network throughout the City.
Note:
- No alcohol or unleashed pets are allowed in the City Parks.
- All outside picnic areas are on a first come basis.
